Use chilli to make a dipping sauce

Chilli has many uses

Culinary spices offer a wide range of benefits to professional caterers - and the benefits of adding ingredients like chilli to a dipping sauce are not to be overlooked.

Food photographer Laura Edwards recommended presenting this side serving with mushroom and smoked chicken crispy spring rolls.

This combination would be perfect to present as a starter option - or even a bar snack if this is suitable for your restaurant.

In an article for the Independent, Ms Edwards explained that the dipping sauce itself is a very simple thing to make.

All that is required is to mix together soy sauce and rice wine vinegar with single tablespoons of Chinese chilli oil, sesame oil, grated ginger and dried chilli flakes.
