Garlic and thyme can be enough for a great pasta

Garlic can flavour pasta dishes

Co-creator of the Moveable Kitchen and the owner and head chef of the Dock Kitchen in Notting Hill Stevie Parle has suggested that culinary herbs like garlic and thyme can be enough to create an exciting flavour for a pasta dish.

In an article for the Daily Telegraph, he added that the use of wild mushrooms can also bring a seasonal appropriateness to the dish.

Thinking of what foods are growing naturally at the moment can be a great way for any professional caterer to come up with something that diner's will be in the mood for at this time of year.

As the days are drawing in and the winter chills are starting to make themselves felt, comforting dishes may be at the forefront of customer's minds.

However, there is no need to fear innovation within this context - so keep trying to come up with something new and exciting.
