Herbs make dishes mouth watering says web celebrity chef

Herbs are taste bud footprint of recipes

Web celebrity chef Kimberly Edwards has said that culinary herbs are an essential part of any recipe.

The blogger chef of Cooking with Kimberly insisted that herbs were what made ethnic cuisines unique.

"Herbs are what make us love cuisines of the world," she enthused. "They're the 'je ne sais quoi' that makes a dish mouth-wateringly amazing. They're the taste-bud footprint of the recipes we create."

She went on to say that her current favourite herb for the coming summer was cilantro, which she described as "exotic" and "marvellous".

Her website offers a recipe for making cilantro and lime tuna melts, adding in black pepper, sea salt and cayenne pepper on top a tart cheese.

Ms Edwards said: "[Cilantro] adds some extra authentic quality to Mexican, Latin, Indian and even Thai cuisines. Perfect for that fiesta you may decide to throw on your back patio this summer."
