Spices liven up barbeque chicken recipe

While barbeque chicken recipes are usually a treat for the summer, they can warm anyone up on a cold day too, it has been said.

Margot Harris wrote for the Jersey Journal that she enjoys chargrilled meat all year round, thanks to a special chicken seasoning recipe that replicates the taste of hot weather.

Using culinary spices such as cumin, coriander and chilli powder, the chef combines them with sugar, black pepper, salt, garlic and onion powder to create the barbeque base, adding lemon juice to make a thick paste.

She spreads this over the chicken and places on a hot grill pan for around eight minutes on each side, before baking the meat in the oven on 170-degree Fahrenheit heat for another 20 minutes to ensure it is cooked through.

The Daily Mail recently praised the versatility of chilies, which makes them an ideal ingredient for those wanting to try out some inspirational recipes, ranging from chocolate muffins to chicken satay.
