Spices add twist to Coronation Chicken

Spices add flavour to the traditional chicken recipe

With the royal wedding just around the corner, many people may be looking for delicious chicken recipes they can serve at a party to celebrate the occasion.

If this is the case, the Daily Telegraph's twist on classic Coronation Chicken could be the perfect choice.

It uses grated ginger, five spice, coriander and chillies to add flavour to the meat.

After the chicken has been simmered in a pan with a stock cube, brown sugar, lime and lemon are thrown in, along with the five spice.

The other flavourings are blended with some mango before being added to the pot, which is then finished with mayonnaise and yoghurt.

This part of the meal can be made a day in advance, the publication advised.

Served with couscous, green salad and some crusty bread, the newspaper suggested this as being the perfect dish to serve when Prince William and Kate Middleton walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey on April 29th.
