Saffron Pears

Saffron Pears


- 10 medium pears
- 2 lt water
- 650 grams caster sugar
- 2 Vanilla Pods
- Saffron


Place the pears, water, sugar, Schwartz for Chef Vanilla Pod and Saffron in a saucepan. Cook over a low heat for 30 minutes, or until the pears are soft, turning occasionally.

Serve in bowls, spooning over the Vanilla & Saffron poaching liquor.
