Sausage Casserole - School Meal


- 20 sausages
- 450 grams onions, sliced
- 600 ml water
- 1 kg chopped tinned tomatoes
- 1 (sachet)


Seal sausages in hot oil in a casserole dish, once browned take out and reserve. Sweat off onions in the same casserole dish.

Add water, tinned tomatoes and Schwartz for Chef Savoury Mince Recipe Mix. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 mins.

Return sausages to the dish, ensuring that the sausages are covered by the sauce. Place casserole into a hot oven and cook for 1 hr. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Each portion serves 10 senior school children / adults and serves 20 junior school children.
