Spaghetti Bolognaise


- 1.2 kg lean minced beef
- 1.2 kg tinned chopped tomatoes
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 300 grams mushrooms, sliced
- 300 ml water
- 1 (sachet)
- To serve:  1kg spaghetti, cooked according to packet instructions.


Brown the minced beef and onion together in a large pan. Drain off any excess liquid. Add the mushrooms and cook for 4-5minutes.

Stir in the Schwartz for Chef Mediterranean Herb sachet, tomatoes and water. Bring to the boil stirring. Cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve with the spaghetti. Each portion serves 10 senior school children / adults and serves 20 junior school children.
