Old Bay® Seafood Chowder


- 170 grams frozen haddock
- 266 ml chicken broth
- 296 ml milk
- 340 grams crab meat
- 114 grams raw shrimp
- 2.5 tsp butter or margarine
- 0.33 of a large onion, chopped
- 1 stalk of celery, chopped
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 1 large potato, sliced
- 4 tbsp flour
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2.5 tsp OLD BAY® Seasoning
- 6 tbsp cheddar cheese, grated


Thaw frozen fish, enough to cut it into cubes. Reserve.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter or margarine. Add onions, celery, carrots, and potatoes and cook until onions are transparent. Carefully blend in the flour, salt, and OLD BAY® Seasoning. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add chicken broth (undiluted) to the milk and seasoned vegetables and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes. Add reserved haddock, shrimp, and chopped crab meat and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Stir in shredded cheese. Continue to stir and cook until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
