Spicy Nachos with Cheese - School Meal


- 1 tbsp oil
- 3 onions, chopped
- 1.2 kg lean beef mince
- 1 sachet
- 1.2 kg tin chopped tomatoes
- 1.2 kg tin kidney beans, drained
- 200 grams green peppers, chopped
- 600 ml green peppers, chopped
- 200 grams cheese, grated
- 200 grams tortilla chips


Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the onions for 3-4 minutes until soft.

Add the mince and fry for 5-6 minutes until browned.

Stir in the Chilli Recipe Mix, tomatoes, kidney beans, green peppers, water and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Bring to the boil and simmer, uncovered for 30-35 minutes until thickened.

Place the tortilla chips in the base of an ovenproof dish, spoon over the mince mixture and sprinkle with the grated cheese.

Place under a hot grill and cook until golden brown.

Each portion serves 10 senior school children / adults and serves 20 junior school children.
