Jazz up monkfish with spices

Paprika and chorizo could really boost monkfish

Offering diners fantastic new dishes is not always an easy task for caterers - as many staple foods can be quite bland.

For instance, seafood dishes are often a popular choice, but it is quite difficult to be innovative with something as bland as monkfish.

But that does not mean you should give up on it completely - the adventurous chef can always take this as a challenge and really make the dish their own.

In an article for the Guardian, chef patron at the Murano restaurant Angela Hartnett suggested jazzing monkfish up by adding chorizo.

This spicy meat was then complemented with fennel - but there are plenty of other options for those who wish to bring their own twist to the meal.

For instance, you could really go all out with the hotter aspect of chorizo and go for a classic pairing by adding paprika - the possibilities are endless.
