Throw some herbs into linguini

Herbs are essential in pasta

Pasta has long since been a popular staple with diners - but it is easy for this kind of dish to become bland and forgettable.

In order to ensure that your restaurant's menu offerings really stand apart, why not try throwing distinctive combinations of culinary herbs into the dishes?

Celebrity chef Diana Henry suggested adding a range of these ingredients in her recipe for linguini with mozzarella, wilted rocket and anchovies.

Sharing her preparation method for the meal in an article for the Daily Telegraph, she specified that parsley and chilli can be tossed in with the dish.

She also recommended cooking the pasta al dente with garlic.

So don't be afraid to be adventurous and experiment with different flavour pairings.
