Pork ribs can be grilled with a range of spices

Ribs can be marinated in spices

When thinking of dishes that could be easily prepared for large groups, caterers could do much worse than considering pork ribs.

These are relatively straightforward to prepare in large quantities and can be a cheaper option than steaks.

This could be the ideal choice for the budget conscious in these economically trying times, so might be a big hit with diners.

In an article for the Independent, celebrity chef Bill Granger recommended grilling the meat in a marinade overnight.

The use of culinary spices such as cumin and paprika, as well as oregano and garlic, was advised for this mixture.

Here at Schwartz for Chef, we really advocate culinary innovation, so why not bring your own twist to this recipe by grilling the ribs with a unique and exciting combination of culinary spices.

Our resident expert Chef Steve says the scope that herbs and spices offer chefs in this respect is one of his favourite aspects of the ingredients.
