Cooks to benefit from new recipe app

Cooks could use their iPhone to find new recipes

Kitchen goddesses who are looking for new flavour ideas to wow their guests may need to look no further than a new iPhone app.

The Great British Chefs app contains 180 delicious recipes from some of the UK's best chefs, including Marcus Wareing, Nathan Outlaw and Simon Hulstone.

According to the accompanying website: "If you're interested in cooking incredible food and learning from a selection of the biggest names in the industry, then Great British Chefs is going to become one of your favourite places to visit and you are going to love our app."

Fans of Marcus Wareing may want to prepare his traditional Lancashire hotpot served with braised red cabbage, for which they will need to stock their cupboards with rosemary, thyme and bay leaves.

Meanwhile, those who believe festive flavours can be enjoyed all year round - particularly during unseasonably cold evenings - may want to try making Tom Aikens' mulled wine, which contains ingredients such as cloves, star anise and cinnamon sticks.
