Try adding spices to lamb dishes

Spices and herbs can add flavour to lamb

Budding chefs who love the taste of lamb may be looking to try some adventurous recipes that incorporate their favourite meat.

Luckily, there are plenty of ideas out there, many of which make use of herbs and spices to add an extra kick.

Some people may like to try the recipe for lamb shanks with sweet soy sauce and spices, published by the Jakarta Globe.

This dish makes use of garlic, black peppercorns and grated nutmeg to liven up soy sauce and a range of vegetables, which are used to create a broth for the meat.

Alternatively, individuals may wish to try Stevie Parle's lamb and chickpea dish, which is published by the Telegraph and requires ground coriander, chilli powder, cumin and a pinch of saffron.

Chef Olivier Douet also has a recipe for roast lamb with an olive crust, which is prepared by garnishing the meat with thyme and chicken stock.
