Add culinary herbs to a bread pudding

Rosemary is great in bread pudding

Culinary herbs can be a great addition to almost any dish, as they can really bring out the natural flavour of other ingredients.

Indeed, McCormick's resident expert Chef Steve says this is one of his favourite things about herbs and spices, as well as the fact that they are so versatile.

These properties make them great inclusions in vegetarian meals and they can also be adapted to offer a unique twist on a staple that diners might already be quite familiar with.

For instance, in an article for the Guardian, chef and patron of Ottolenghi and Nopi in London Yotam Ottolenghi suggested the use of rosemary as a key ingredient in a bread pudding.

He claimed this is a great vegetarian main course, but that it also makes a good side serving for a roast chicken.

Here at Schwartz for Chef, we offer speciality ingredients through our Noel's range that also offer vegetarian-friendly side servings.
