Essential ingredient in Garam Masala and Curry blends. To make a moroccan style couscous, combine with ground cumin, coriander and saffron.
Origins
Historically, Iran has been the principal supplier of Cumin, but currently the major sources are India, Syria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
