Cottage Pie - School Meal

Ingredients:

- 1.2 kg lean minced beef
- 3 large onions
- 450 grams carrots, peeled and diced
- 300 grams peas
- 600 ml water
- 1 (sachet)
- 2 kg mashed potato

Method:

Brown the minced beef, onions and carrots in a large saucepan.

Drain off any excess liquid.

Stir in the sachet of Schwartz for Chef Savoury Mince Recipe Mix, water and peas.

Bring to the boil, stirring.

Simmer for 8-10 minutes.

Transfer to an ovenproof dish and cover with mashed potato.

Bake in a hot oven for 30-35 minutes.

Each portion serves 10 senior school children / adults and serves 20 junior school children.
