Chilli con Carne - School Meal

Ingredients:

- 1.2 kg lean minced beef
- 1.2 kg tinned chopped tomatoes
- 1.2 kg tinned kidney beans, drained
- 450 grams choppd onions
- 600 ml water
- 1 (sachet)
- To serve:  1kg rice, cooked according to packet instructions

Method:

Brown the minced beef and onions in a large saucepan.

Drain off any excess liquid.

Stir in the Schwartz for Chef Chilli Recipe Mix sachet, water, tomatoes and kidney beans.

Bring to the boil, stirring.

Cover and simmer gently for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve with the rice. Each portion serves 10 senior school children / adults and serves 20 junior school children.
