Throw parsley in an omelette

Omelettes are highly customisable

Omelettes could make a great addition to a restaurant's menu as a starter option - and they offer caterers a great deal of scope for experimentation.

Co-creator of the Moveable Kitchen and the owner and head chef of the Dock Kitchen in Notting Hill Stevie Parle recommended a wild mushroom and mascarpone variety.

In an article for the Daily Telegraph, he suggested adding culinary herbs like parsley to the mix - and this is where adventurous cooks can really shine.

The basic ingredients - mushroom and mascarpone - do not necessarily have to change.

Instead, the finished product can be tailored with new combinations of herbs and spices.

While something like parsley might add a homely, comforting feel to the dish, paprika could be a decent spicy option.
