Serve steak as a salad option

Serve steak as a salad option

There are many things chefs can do in order to make their menu offering stand out from the crowd.

For instance, why not try presenting an old favourite meal - such as a roast or a steak - in a new way?

In an article for the Independent, celebrity chef Mark Hix suggested serving steak and Yorkshire pudding as a salad.

"This would make a great alternative to a Sunday roast," he commented, adding that it could also be made available "as a light takeaway offer along with a ... steak sandwich or a chicken salad or quarter or half roast chicken".

Other ways to experiment include adding new combinations of culinary spices to bring a really unique twist on a staple dish.

Indeed, our resident expert Chef Steve says this is one of his favourite things about these ingredients, as well as the fact that they are so versatile.
