Serve roast lamb with herb sauce

Mint sauce is a great addition to roasts

Traditional dishes such as roast meals are a staple on the menus of many restaurants and are a perennial favourite with diners.

However, preparing such dishes can get a little dull for caterers who have to assemble the same recipe over and over.

Here at Schwartz for Chef we really advocate culinary innovation, so why not try bringing your own unique twist to a roast?

This could really help to set your restaurant apart from the crowd and encourage diners with more adventurous palates to keep coming back for more.

In an article for the Daily Telegraph, professional chef Diana Henry recommended serving slow roasted lamb with sekanjabin - a mint syrup that comes from Iran.

Our resident expert Chef Steve says researching the catering traditions of other cultures is one of his key inspirations, so why not follow his lead and see what you can come up with? Don't be afraid to adapt them with your own combinations of culinary herbs.
