Serve a Turkish haydari dish with paprika

Paprika is a great addition to haydari

There are many different approaches caterers can adopt when thinking of new recipes to add to their restaurant's menu.

Our resident expert Chef Steve says one of his key professional inspirations is researching other culinary cultures.

In an article for the Daily Telegraph, food writer and author of the Salt Sugar Smoke cookbook Diana Henry recommended preparing a haydari.

This is a Turkish-inspired dish that makes extensive use of culinary spices, such as chillies, as well as herbs like dill.

Indeed, Ms Henry recommended serving the meal with a sprinkling of paprika.

Here at Schwartz for Chef we really advocate culinary innovation, so why not adapt Ms Henry's ingredients with your own unique twist?

Adding different combinations of herbs and spices can really help to set your restaurant apart from the crowd and keep diners coming back for more.

So don't be afraid to really let your imagination run wild and see what you can come up with.
