Gwyneth Paltrow takes cookery classes

Gwyneth Paltrow takes cookery classes

A-list celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow has shown her passion for cookery by taking up lessons with an award-winning chef.

The Shallow Hal actress is vying to boost her knowledge of seafood cookery - presumably so she can pick the right culinary herbs and spices with confidence.

Paltrow went to Keith Rhodes' Catch restaurant in North Carolina and decided to watch him prepare the meals herself.

She even posted pictures of her cooking adventure on Goop.com, which is her own blog.

"The other day I had the great fortune of getting a kick-a** cooking lesson from James Beard (award) nominee Keith Rhodes (one of if not the best chef in Wilmington, NC)," Paltrow said.

She added that the restaurant serves locally caught, seasonal seafood that is fresh, inventive and delicious.

Recently, celebrity chef Stevie Parle told the Daily Telegraph that combining white fish with simple combinations of herbs - such as parsley and thyme - can bring out the best of the foodstuff's many flavours.
