Almonds easy to add to many dishes

Almonds can enhance a number of dishes

Individuals looking for some adventurous recipes that make use of nuts may want to try incorporating almonds into their food.

Ellie Krieger, a dietitian who is often seen on the Food Network, said it is easy to incorporate this foodstuff into even the most simple of dishes.

She suggested mixing them with yoghurt and fresh fruit for breakfast, or adding them to a milkshake or smoothie.

For those who prefer something a little more savoury, almonds can crushed up and made into a coating for baked fish and chicken.

Similarly, Ms Krieger recommended toasting them and adding them to a dish with rice, quinoa or couscous.

They're also ideal for special events, the expert stated.

"It's easy to incorporate almonds in all their forms into delicious, seasonal dishes that are sure to please partygoers," she concluded.

It is not only almonds people may like to add to their food, as research conducted by scientists at Eastern Illinois University recently found pistachios can be beneficial to those trying to lose weight.
