We asked Steve what inspired him as a Professional Chef and his answers were:

Working with Chefs to unlock new ideas and re-ignite their passion.
Playing with dishes that are not quite right, then making them better
Researching other culinary cultures
Investing in the young chefs of the future
Helping chefs of today overcome the challenges of tomorrow
Speaking and listening to chefs from all areas of the culinary arena

Steve’s passion for herbs and spices is unbounded. Things he loves about herbs and spices are:

They are a great way to season all kinds of foods, naturally and it beats using pure salt!
They bring out the natural flavours in the food ingredients
They are versatile – you can put together some great combinations ( e.g. The Schwartz Flavour Forecast)
They can be used across all areas of the culinary arena in savoury and sweet recipes
Many herbs and spices bring health benefits

Steve is a true advocate of the McCormick Foodservice range, valuing the breadth and versatility of the range – there are products for all occasions which can be used in applications from everyday school menus up to 5Star Banqueting; the superior quality and the ease of use.
