Uses in the Kitchen
Use to add flavour to Cajun or Creole dishes such as jambalaya and gumbo. Beat into softened butter with crushed garlic and lemon juice, and use to top barbecued chicken and fish.

Origins
Thyme is native of the Mediterranean. Thyme dates back to ancient Greece, where it symbolized courage. Roman soldiers bathed in water infused with Thyme to gain vigour, courage and strength. Ancient Egyptians also used it in embalming. Laid amongst clothes, it keeps fleas and moths away.
